11 November 2018 marked 100 years since the end of the First World War. Britain stood still and remembered the brave men and women who gave their lives for us.
At the outbreak of the First World War, the British government called on SSAFA to take care of the families of soldiers going to the Front. With the help of 50,000 volunteers, we distributed more than £1m from the National Relief Fund to help families left behind.
