Maundown Open Garden

Pauline and Bob Homeshaw opened their wonderful two acre hillside garden with over 100 varieties of interesting and unusual trees, also shrubs and borders, stream, waterfalls and ponds for yet another successful fund-raising event for the Friends of SSAFA Somerset.

L to R: Pauline Homeshaw, Chris Cardwell, Grace Rasch and Annette Cardwell

Grace Rasch will be 101 years old next week! Surely one of our most senior garden visitors ever! Grace was born in 1918, the year of the war’s end and still lives independently in Wellington. Her two friends are Annette and Chris Cardwell, neighbours and friends who so kindly brought her to the garden; they are super SSAFA supporters and help hugely with our annual Golf Day.

Open Garden tea helpers
